Baburam Bhattarai arrested
The Kathmandu Chief District Officer on Sunday declared the road outside the Election Commission among six places of the Capital prohibited zone after various political parties centred their protests at the constitutional body in the run-up to the May 14 local level elections.CDO Him Nath Dawadi issued the order in accordance with Section 6(3) of the Local Administration Act, 1971.Other prohibited zones include the President’s Office at Sheetal Niwas, the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, roads outside the southern and western gates of Singhadarbar, the roads outside the Parliament Building in Naya Baneshwor and the Vice-President’s residence in Lazimpat.
